Globe sabaton Chris Haslam pro model black and brown. Hex Trac technology
| Dam's model: The last pair of shoes I was wearing used to hurt my heel every session, after 1 month of ride. Today I put my feet inside a Globe model ,already tested on thesiteduskate with Vagrant and Rewire. We will both test the model of a rider who has been making a name for himself for a few years with incredible parts such as the Cheese and Crackers, Chris Haslam. The footwear: Globe shoes Sabaton Pro Model Chris Haslam black. The external sole : A sole composed of 2 different types of sole, a half vulcanized on the front and back and another half with the Hex Trac technology. (see below) Nevertheless, the underside of the shoe gets used very quickly unlike DVS Huf 5 A killer Grip on flippy tricks with stripes on the lower part of the front of the sole. The underside of the shoe grips very hard too. In addition the shoe has a kind of air bubble that prevents heels (Part yellow and green part on the photo) and offers a great comfort for landing. ![]() The inner sole: The sole has reinforcements for the heel called Air Flow (see photo) that offers good comfort. Its shape looks like the Sti Foam SOLE tech with a respected foot form, but no holes for feet breathing The tongue: A tongue with a velvet touch, it is just long enough for the pants to slip behind. In other words, I like these shoes The materials : The black model is entirely in suede, perfect grip but it might get used quicker than my bro's model. We'll see ..... On the brown model , the leather is flipped. The brown has strong resistance due to its mix of suede materials , used leather and velvet The particularity: the sole is made with the "Ultra grippy Hex Trac technology" "A new version of Globe sole with hundreads of small sticks of a few centimeters (see photo), which offers the best grip ever seen on vulcanized soles" And this is not the official blabla, it's the feeling I had when riding The price: 89 euros but it is possible to find cheaper depending on the colour. available colours: green and white / brown and cream (canvas) / brown and cream (velvet) / Black and red / black and white I love the fact that the part above the toes is low and offers a very good board control and even more on the black suede model. The sole isoften very quickly, in just about 30 minutes, they have a very good board control. The laces got used but did not cut. The anti-heel system is very effective even though I still managed to hurt my right heel at the Paris park on Monday, June 9. I must confess I haven't enjoyed a pair of shoes that much for a long time. After an intensive week After 15 sessions The ollie pad gets fucked very quickly but a bit of All Star Gum and you're good for one more week. Review: A quality shoe for a reasonable price but if you intend to use it to push for cruising when going to work for example, the sole might break a little sooner. Feeling wise they are incredible. The U.S. team: Mark Appleyard, Matt Mumford, Greg Lutzka, Rodney Mullen, Chris Haslam, Jake Duncombe, Paul Machnau, David Gonzales Team Europe: Jan Kliewer, Eero Anttila, Kilian Heuberger, Gabriel Engelke, Mathieu Hilaire, Marcos Laprebendere, Marco Lambertucci, Flynn Trotman, Jocke Olsson, Dan Wilemann, Philipp Schuster, Pirkka Pollari |
Olive's model: The footwear: Globe shoes Sabaton Chris Haslam brown pro model with brown laces at the beginning and then I went with the White's ... more flashy. First day of ride, mid May, the skatepark of Villiers sur orge The brown laces were cut so I switched to the white's. the shoes have awesome style. The external sole : As Dams says, 2 different types of sole:
Here the Globe air bubble that protects your heel on big gaps (or when you take a slice) Logo under the shoe ... no use for your body except that it lookes pretty. Something useful : a difference of materials inside the sole, all around the toes. This brown gum is slightly stronger than the orange below ...It allows the sole not to wears out too quickly ... because the orange is very soft and crumbles pretty quickly if you're going to work with your deck for example (like me). On Globe's website they call it the "Duo-Cell ICS with 2 layers of poron, with the lower density limit for shock absorption and the top layer set for the resumption, Duo-Cell offers a solution for filling vulcanized shoes. " The laces: BROWN laces STILL provided as supplement! Indeed they are not white ... I've taken the whites on another pair. It's a shame that they give 2 different versions of brown and not completely different colors Check out how it looks like... I did not mounted it. I think it doesn't fit the style. The inner sole: The design has reversed colors compared to Dam's model. Here white on black, Dams has the opposite. I also have the Air Flow on my insoles This is what it looks like closely. that + air bubble = I didn't hurt myself with these Globe ..THESE ARE AWESOME TO PROTECT YOURSELF But I also HAVE the Air Flow on my insoles The materials : The black model is entirely in suede, the brown is in suede and leather . As outlined Dams outlined, mine are a little less resistant because of the pre-wear of this material. It has a good style, but 3 flips and it becomes quickly "used white" Day of first ride, you can notice the triple seams not seen everywhere. After 2 sessions (check out the white on left of the pic... that's 4H of ride) The tongue: I also have a touch of velvet ... and my pants also slip behind. Pure style. I love it. Photos below. The signature, classic for a pro-model. Back of the tongue. Details of the shoe. Below, elastic that hold the tongue => better foot hold = more precision in the tricks. The test: In the same order the pics were taken . View from above on the first day of ride front view, the first day outside heel :suede on top of velvet Globe logo on the back of the vulcanized sole |
